You've picked out your pumpkins and planned your costumes. Now it’s time to embrace the magic of the 2014 Halloween season with fun and frightening events in and around town (or "city").
Get together with friends and enjoy the spooky season socially or grab
the kids and walk or drive around your local haunt and scope out all the decked out homes. Here are some of the best spots to get your ghoul on:
WHITTAMORES – PUMPKINLAND
Halloween isn’t the same without the chance to head to a local farm and choose the perfect pumpkin for jack-o-lanterns! If you haven't picked your pumpkins yet, Pumpkinland at Markham’s favourite farm satisfies not only the pickiest pumpkin pickers but gives you an excellent opportunity to grab a fresh homemade pumpkin or apple pie on the way out. Open daily to October 31.
"Lost Souls" HALLOWE'EN AT THE PACIFIC MALL
Stop by the Pacific Mall on Hallowe'en night for some really cool fun! See DOODOO the Clown from Treehouse, The Witty Juggler from the Ben Burland Show, and The Dog & Dove Show from The Wonderful World of Circus, plus costume competition and parade. The fun is from 5 - 7:00 pm on October 31st at the Pacific Mall: 4300 Steeles Ave East at Kennedy Road map
MAIN STREET MARKHAM AND UNIONVILLE
street gets involved as store owners and scary characters hand out treats and
tricks to all those who are brave enough to come out. This is the time to go
all out on your costume as there will be awards handed out for the best, most original,
scariest and cutest ones!
For those of you who really want to be scared out of your pants, check out Scream Works in Whitby (401 and Thickson Rd). They have an intense haunted house designed to scare adults and a Hallowe'en Fun Zone for Kids.

Got the munchies? Why not leave the Halloween party to the professionals and get pizza to boot?
