OCTOBER 2019 - Condo Market Update

Condos Continue to Lead Market in Price Growth

1) TORONTO 

Both 1 Bedroom and 2 Bedroom units have increased in price since the end of Summer, and also have increased in price since the beginning of this year. This indicates continued strong demand for housing in the City of Toronto (Downtown, North York, Etobicoke, Scarborough, etc). 

2) YORK REGION

Both 1 Bedroom and 2 Bedroom units have increased in price by about 8-9% since the beginning of the year and will remain in this range till the end of this year. 

Overall Trends

1 Bedroom and 2 Bedroom condo apartments continue to be in demand across both the City of Toronto and York Region. Overall trend is still upwards. 

Strategies for the Buyer

Typically, prices seem to stall or drop during the Winter months (e.g. end of Nov towards end of February). Nimble buyers may be able to get themselves a "deal" as other buyers (their competition) enter hibernation mode!
